What is the commitment (duration of contract, hours per week, etc.)?

There is no obligation for a long-term contract with Mom's Best Friend. We have caregivers who are available from as little as 4 hours per week, up to 24-hours/day, 7 days/week care. In the latter case, more than one caregiver would be needed, in order to comply with labor laws and IRS overtime guidelines.

In most cases, our caregivers are employees of Mom's Best Friend, and our fees cover their payroll taxes, liability insurance, worker's compensation insurance, and unemployment insurance. However, some of our clients choose to hire a caregiver directly on a long-term basis. In this case, there would be a one-time placement fee to Mom's Best Friend, and the caregiver becomes an employee of the family (be sure to consult with your tax expert in that case).
